Porch Swing (White Oak)

I made a couple of these porch swings for my daughters. Material is white oak so it’s quite rot resistant. The geometry was all designed in OnShape and then exported as DXF files for use in the VCarve software. I used my CNC to cut out the seat supports, back supports, and arm rests. The seat and back support profiles are actually a series of short flats so they make good contact with the rails. I also used my CNC to engrave a scripture verse in a couple of the back rails. The swing was finished with Penofin Red Label stain.

How do I move this topic into the “finished projects” folder in the gallery?

Moved!

We want you to share the files! Love the swing! Looks great!

Thank you for moving this post. I’ve got a couple other projects I’d like to share. I’m having difficulty figuring out how to post them in the “Finished Projects” folder. Please point me in the right direction.

When you say “Share the Files”, are you talking about the VCarve files, the gcode files, or something else?

Thank you!
