Hi folks, I am using vcarve pro to program for the 1F. The first position the program moves to, is a 3 axis move. X,Y, and Z at the same time. Does anyone know if there is a way to have it move in the X,Y first, then move down to it’s first cut position?
I use the coordinate offset option in vcarve and run everything from the 1F home position and sometimes it comes very close to one of my clamps on its way to the first cut position. Any info would be great. Thanks.
On the toolpath side go to setup and down below you will see a setting for minimum z. Set that to where it will clear your clamps before it reaches xy.
Thank you for the reply. I was doing that for a while but the first move was still traveling in a 3 axis motion. I found how to customize the post processor so now it moves to initial X, Y cutting position in rapid mode, then moves down in z.
Much better.
