During a cut, the machine stops and I get a message saying the USB has disconnected. It’s not a big deal, I just hit go to the work origin. Then Jump to line and enter the line number to start from and it works. Sometimes a message comes up saying can’t read the file. Then, I reload the file and it works fine. Here’s the issue. I’ve done this and when restarting, it will go to that line and start the cut again. Today, when it happened, I entered the line number and started again, but it went back to line 1 even though I specified the line to start from.
After entering the line number, should I hit exit before restarting like I do on a new cut, or should I hit run and then restart?
Thats goofy. Should not be doing all of that. I have NEVER had a USB disconnect in my 3 + years
of using my CNC’s… A good USB storage device should fix this.
I like this one, I can keep on my key chain. and has both usbc and usb 2.0
Thanks, that’s what I’m thinking. I’ve only had my machine for about two weeks and this is the USB that came with it. I’ve got lots of them, I’ll try a better one. It’s happened several times.
The USB disconnect is or was a common issue with the Masso control, look into the Masso forum for more info, I myself had the same issues and ended up plugging my USB drive into the internal USB port and have not had an issue since then, I use Masso Link to transfer files so no need to access the drive ever.
Thanks, Pat
