Roundover bit setup?

Let me know how you make out when doing the roundover. I ordered and am waiting on the 1/8” radius from IDC. His 1/4” radius shows a cut depth of .25 which is the radius, but his 1/8” shows a depth cut of .095, so I’m going to experiment with it because I would expect the depth to be .125 the radius of the 1/8” bit

i chane the 1/4 to the one eighth but find that i like the look of the 1/4 better so there ya go i had to order the 1/4 now i wait again lol

if using vectrics say vcarve pro you draw the bit profile yourself and ad it. they have the tutorials that explain how to do this and add to the tool data base.
Garrett should be able and willing to assist you. its pretty simple to do by following vectrics tutorials
I have downoaded and use idc tool data base file and I agree its not listed so youll have to manually do this per the vectrics tutorials.
I do know you will have to draw the right side half of the bit and it has to be deminsionally correct for the 3d view and tool paths to work correctly

While I haven’t yet tried it myself (waiting on my unit) I found this video from Garrett Fromme very helpful.

He explains the issues and how to set it up in great detail.

I hope this helps.

While I’m still waiting for my unit, Garrett Fromme’s video really helped clarify the process. He breaks everything down step-by-step
