Shipping updates?

Are you watching the right column? It ships as a full set so the latest date that applies to what you ordered

My order #20882 placed 8/23/21 delivered Oct 26. Now the work begins!

ooops I get it? I guess sometime in November, next year.

To clarify… Order 18665… I got my email from onefinity and it says my qcw (secure from below) is shipping later but my x50 journeyman is shipping now. That seems to put shipping for the x50 journeyman 1 to 2 weeks behind the listed schedule maybe? Hoping the qcw ships soon so I don’t need to built a temporary set up to validate it all before shipping the old axis back.

Has anyone gotten notice of a shipment of a QWC supposed to ship this week? Thought might hear by today but not yet…

So, after complaining about when my machine will show up, I have received my tracking number of shipping. So it seems an apology is in order. So here it goes. Sorry for whining.

18665 x50 journeyman has landed… Wowsa that thing is huge… Now just need the secure from below qcw to set it up.

Packaging was undamaged… Only spot I would say could use some beefing up is around the motor. I think the issue is length and weight means it gets put on a shoulder and then set down harder than it should. A corrugated cardboard stack up on the ends may survive better

When do they normally update the shipping chart? Ordered a full journeyman 08/17 order 20715. Original shipping chart said week of October 9, now the update says week of Nov 7. I’m usually very patient and I ordered with the mindset of possible 2-3 week delay. But it’s tipping a month now. Anyone from the previous batch of journeyman have their order date vs delivery date so I can re-align my expectations?

Kinda scared to even place an order for the dust collection, being I have a few grand up in the air. And is the dust boot worth it or is there a better one for this machine? For some reason I thought that it would come with one when I ordered originally. Would be a nice touch if they put one in the box considering when I ordered it stated 10 weeks and then months after they didn’t bother to change their backorder from 10 weeks to 4 months thinking they’d catch up.

I don’t have mine yet (20343) but it slipped from the first week of Oct to the second week of Nov. I expected that back earlier this summer as I saw they weren’t keeping up and it was a pretty consistent 4-5 week slip every week. Unfortunately I also ordered the QCW frame at the same time and that’s not projected to ship until the 4th week of Nov and it seems even though they’re in separate boxes, they hold up the Journeyman until the QCW ships. I’m expecting it for Christmas. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hard to see that they could ship yours next week when the chart still shows last week’s ones still scheduled for 10/31 and not yet in shipping or shipped status. So they have to clear last week’s and this week’s and then the jump from 20401 to you just to keep to the latest posted schedule. And if you’ve got a QCW ordered too, you’re in the same boat I’m in. Although I’ve seen some folks post about receiving their Journeyman and waiting on their QCW so maybe the packages got separated in transit or they are actually split shipping.

The chart shows that they appear to be 2 weeks behind schedule on the Woodworkers which doesn’t suggest capacity exists for meeting our dates.

However, it really is hard to tease out any reliable data from the table because the order numbers could be for just about anything. So we can’t tell if the shipping tranche we’re in has 1 or 500 Journeyman orders.

We can get some insight because the order #s for remaining Woodworker shipping are in groups of 300 while for Journeyman & QCWs they’re anywhere from 200 (my group) to 525 (your group). That suggests that there are a fair number of JM/QCW orders outstanding as those were awaiting new manufacturing when ordered earlier this summer.

They do have a note that they’re not going to add to the shipping table - the “December” shipments are the end of the chart. That’s less transparency as we won’t be able to tell that they’re a month behind even as they hope to catch up the way they were all summer. But it’s probably easier on them as they’ll not have to be dealing with people complaining they didn’t ship per the schedule. They’ll still have to deal with individuals who calculate based on the leadtime and start asking as soon as the 10 weeks goes by, but perhaps that’s less to deal with than the analysis that goes on here :grinning:

guessing mine might be here by the new year (X-35 Woodworker) was supposed to be in the Nov 7 shipment, but chart still shows at least two weeks behind and no email for shipping so here is hoping that it ships soon!

I must amend this, I got my shipping order today with an arrival late in the week so gotta be fair its coming within time

From the shipping update on the web, it looks like they’ve caught up with all machines & upgrades and are only behind on the QCW and folding stands.

Order #20787 - X-50 Journeyman here. Mine was originally suppose to ship in October. I got bumped to Nov 7th.

I emailed support the other day asked them when the order info chart would be updated, and if I could know about the status of my order I got a generic, copy and paste email telling them to refer to the order info page, and that it is updated regularly.

I responded, told them I check it daily and it hasn’t been updated 12 days I told them that I would like an actual response on my order not just a copy and paste response referencing me to the page that I had already brought up previously.

They got back to me today.

"Thanks for reaching out to us.

We understand your situation as we have been hit by supplier delays causing these shipping delays. Your order is apart of the batch which was recently released to production. I did check with our team and this batch will be completed in the next few weeks. We do recommend watching your email as we will send you a shipping confirmation once your order has been picked up so you know when it will be delivered to you. Thank you again for your support, patience and excitement! We are looking forward to getting your order into your eager hands! :)"

So it looks like I can some of us can tack and extra “few” weeks into the time estimates.

:pensive:My friend has been saying the new year since I ordered. I’m worried he’s going to be right.

That’s unfortunate. Apparently they’re going to start to fall behind again.

Indeed. With Thanksgiving, that places shipping in December earliest. Which we all know is going to be problematic for receipt between normal holiday shipping volumes and this year’s shipping stresses as well as the holidays themselves. Oh well, no CNC created presents this year.

I had projected that only those ordered from Sept forward would be pushed into 2022 based on the prior months’ updates to the shipping info page. Their response to you suggests it’s worse than the info page is suggesting.

I had resigned myself to things coming when they come. This had all the earmarks of a continued crowdsourced/pre-order operation and they haven’t seemed to have figured out how to scale up to operational status. Added to their recent decision to no longer provide the order info detail, new buyers should take that into account with regards to how long their machine is likely to take - 6 months or more would likely not be a conservative estimate based.

I just received mine yesterday. number 20110 Journeyman X-50.

Best of luck, it was worth the wait.

20430 has shipped and is reported to arrive sometime today. It contains a Journeyman, controller, screen, and dust boot.

I cancelled the QCW because of the delay in shipping and reports that the wasteboard was too large to surface.

_Mike

I thought about that but decided it’s supposed to only hold things up another “two weeks” to get the pair.

For the wasteboard I’ve got a VCarve project set up that will use a fly cutting bit that’s defined as a 1/4 end mill. That way I can take it to the edge of the machine’s travel but take advantage of the fact that the large head of the surfacing bit should extend outside the machine boundaries without triggering a fault. If it works in the real world I’ll offer up the file for anyone who wants to use it.

Just cut the lengths of the strips shorter within the cutting area.

What was your expected ship date?

Thank you for the suggestion. Too bad I’ve already cancelled the order. I should have my machine tomorrow and I’m looking forward to the fun this weekend!
