Have you tried rebooting the system? Or perhaps flashing the os on the sd card fresh?

Thank you, I have just received the micro sd card. It appears there are a lot of files on this card, is the process now to switch out the old with the new card and thats it or somethinf else? Thxs J

unplug old card from pi, put in new card to pi, power on.
