Speed compared to toolpath time (solved, see faq or use search bar)

I am using Vectric V-Carve Pro and I have noticed that my actual carve times are typically about double what VCarve estimates. I do have the Onefinity as my post-processor. Which is wrong, Vectric or the Buildbotics controller and is there anything that can be done to speed the process?

Estimated Times in CAD do not match Controller

Easel, vcarve, carveco, fusion 360, etc all have to make assumptions about your machine. They don’t know the acceleration settings of your machine so the use an average. Only the software inside the Onefinity controller can give you a true time. Most software have correction factors that you can adjust to make the estimated time closer but it still is only an estimate (ie: Vectrics ‘scale’ factor).

On the screen where you see the estimated time in Vetric, there is a box that says Scale Factor that you need to adjust until the time shows is close to actual. Also enter the rapid rate for you machine. do those two things and your estimates will come a lot closer to reality.
