Here is some info for those of you interested in putting using spindle: 1) a 80mm mount will come, but it’s not high on our priority list. 2) We will more than likely never do a spindle package, there’s a lot of headaches that come with it (people wiring up their own 110-220v is quite a liability.) …

Anyone know of an ER11 collet for the Makita? I really like the multi-prong wrench over the normal spanner.

With the Makita being different than the ER11, I don’t think there is anything like you are asking for.

Is anyone having trouble with the spindle stopping during G0 movements? Is this a firmware setting or something I need to set in g code?

its a bug that has been fixed in 1.0.6 final firmware

What’s the weight difference between the Makita motor and a good spindle??

Less than 2kg for Makita vs approximately 4-9kg for 65-80mm spindles. From the tests done by quite a number of spindle owners, the OF seems to be able to handle the extra mass with no issue.
