Spindle Wait Error (reinstalling the post p fixed the issue)

So back story my machine has been running great since i got it. I was one of the original batches sent out. I finally got around to installing the tool setter. Im using Vcarve pro and saving toolpaths to a single file(before i saved them seperately and had no issues)

When i start a carve now it prompts me to load the correct bit which i do then it will go touch off the tool setter. After that it retuns to x0y0. Then it issues the M3 S16000 code and all i get is Spindle Wait error

I can go into the spindle page and manually activate spindle but thats not normal. Ive restarted multiple times, VFD and controller and even turned off the tool setter but it seems when i add all toolpaths to a single file this is the outcome

Set spindle speed before turning the spindle on.

Try:

S16000 M3

Just Tried that and getting same response. PS Thanks for the quick advise.
If i seperate the tool paths it will run which is leading me to believe its the post processor with the multiple tool paths

Does it say “error”? Maybe pressing the green masso screen button willstart it off?

If you look at the remote digital read out from the VFD what is it showing?

Please don’t take this wrong, after many years of troubleshooting, I’ve learned to go back to basics, especially if I’m not present and can’t check them myself, that being said, is the DRO showing ERR 14? If so you need to cancel your job, rewind the program, press the red reset button on the VFD Remote DRO, then it should start flashing some numbers. In my case it’s usually 300 but sometimes it’s something else and I have no idea what the significance of the numbers is. Then start your program again.

Again, this is probably far more basic help than you need, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve helped people fix things by “Turning it Off, then On Again”.

Even if you’re not getting a ERR 14, it might be worth a shot of doing the Stop, Rewind, Press VFD R-DRO Reset, and start again.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the VFd is working as I stated I can manual tie the spindle on. And I can turn spindle on from the spindle key on controller.

This issue only happens when you using vcarve pro and saving multiple tool paths to a file and the tool setter. If I save the individual tool paths it works fine

I hesitated to recommend this video as it’s based on the MASSO controller but maybe there’s a nugget of wisdom in here that could help. I will say I fast forwarded quite a bit as the presenter tends to belabor his points, but I found value in what he was teaching so it may be worth the effort.
