Learning recently that stall homing can vary a little due to crud on the machine, have been trying to think of a solution.
On my X axis carriage I put a piece of aluminum to hold a wood support for the dust tube, it contacts the gantry support about an 1/8th before the bearings would normally hit, it has turned out to be very consistent, as it does not crud up.
It would be very simple to put a thin aluminum pc on the left front Y axis tube support so that the machine homed to that, the contact area could be quite small and easy to keep clean.
The strike piece could be affixed using the bolt holes intended for the stepper motor, which are open for use.
Realize that it would cut the machine area by a MM or two but for me the accuracy would be worth the minor loss.
Your thoughts.
I did this. Works well for me.

Excellent thank you.
Did that right after I got the machine. Works perfectly.
