T111 M6 MDI is not changing Tool to Laser

I installed a Jtech 44W laser on a new elite foreman that is still in its initial setup. Upon confirming and triple checking all settings as per the guide, when I enter T111 M6 the controller does nothing. No tool change happens. As a note: I unfortunately received my onefinity with a faulty home sensor. Im waiting to receive the replacement here in Thailand. Because of this I am unable to home the machine so Im sort of dead in the water at the moment. Does the machine need to be homed first before accepting midi commands? Or is this just a separate issue?

I also found this comment from onefinity about it on youtube regarding the same issue. I rebooted the configuration as they suggested and it still does not work. Reboot Default Config

The machine needs to be homed first before it can do anything.
A work around is to turn off homing of the rail that has a damaged sensor in the f1 homing screen. Of course, this could lead to some funky stuff, so ideally you would wait u til you get the new sensor and home the machine normally.
