vetrics question: i have a picture of a bottle with three bubbles coming out of the top very simple I am trying to carve it with a 30-degree v bit. again simple. however, the bubbles when carved to the same exact depth show up much thinner than the bottle edges and when I hover over the toolpath for the bubbles it says the maximum depth is .059 instead of the .125, I asked for and which the bottle is carved to. I even tried carving them both in one tool path since they use the same bit and i wanted them the same depth it still changes the depth of the bubbles to less than half the depth I am asking for. wtf. how does it decide to do such a thing?
i found my answer. the bubbles had not one circle but two and I was asking it to make both inner and outer lines the same depth and it could not do that without running one over the other so it compromised lol so i had to try a different way and I did I eliminated the inner circle and viola. oh, the things we need to learn the hard way

Love it when someone presents a problem and then comes up with an answer. Much rather learn from your mistakes than mine. I come up with more than enough 'learning moments ’ all on my own.

Somehow the simple act of explaining what I see as wrong, seems to help me figure out what the problem really is. It happens to me quite frequently.
