To Resume a job when a bit breaks

Regarding the Controller and its initerface, My suggestion is to make the pause ( || ) work in a way that allows me to turn off the router, raise the z axis, install a new bit, then z touch off again, and power on router and unpause to resume.

Almost done but the bit broke. There is the Stop button on the controller and a Pause. The Pause allows everything to stop temporarily but there is no game controller functionality to raise the Z axis In order to replace the bit. The Stop button allows game controller action to raise the z axis to change the bit, but the problem then is that I have to start the job all over and cannot resume where
The machine has 30 minutes into it.

This improvement would make it a bit easier, without changing the tool to start at a depth previously cut, which requires some precision measuring, and then uploading new g-code.
