Probe problems/Mistakes

So i accidentally hit the continue button and the machine started to probe z after a bit change. I hit stop but it is to close to the material now and i cant fit the probe block in. Is there a way to raise the z axis so i can fit it in there. The only way i have found is to hit stop and then start over, as you can imagine that is an extreme pain on a long carve.

2nd part: Is there a way to start from a certain spot in the code??

I have been just reloading toolpaths eliminating the portion that is already done.

Hey Lee,

you see what’s in the ‘tool change’ field of the SETTINGS tab? This is what makes you’re stuck over your workpiece at the ‘tool change’ event with not enough room to actually change the bit. Here’s how to make this ‘tool change’ routine usable ←.

This applies to when you’re in program mode and are asked to change the bit.

Note that when you hit “stop”, you leave the program mode and get back to manual mode. You can then freely move the milling motor around with the gamepad, the arrow buttons on display, or by entering G-code commands into the command entry field of the MDI Tab (in the Tabbed Section). However you cannot resume your program then.

Instead of hitting “stop”, you can press “pause” by clicking on the “play” button. This makes you’re still in program mode and you can resume program at any time. But in program mode,

Unfortunately, the Onefinity Controller and the Buildbotics.com Controller do not support that.
