Trying to cut air as a test but can not

The problem is that I am trying to cut the test file that is loaded on the controller from the factory. Without cutting anything. Cutting air. I can not seem to manually set the zero, it seems to look for the probe and then faults out with a z axis e stop. Always saying 4 plus mm out of range. How do I get around this?

the ‘1f’ test file isn’t for use for the end user. It has a probe command in the beginning. Never run gcode you did not create.
