I know this has been covered before, but would love to know if there is ever going to be a permanent real fix for this.
I love my OneFinity and its Masso Controller.
The only gripe I have with the Masso is the random non responsive touchscreen.
I just got back from Office Depot with another set of 3 32gb usb 2.0 flash drives.
Previously I was using a 128gb usb 3.0 that was properly formatted to Fat32.
After reading Masso recommends only 32gb usb 2.0 flash drives, I figured I might as well try it. Thinking to myself (it’s not going to make a difference)
And of course, It did not.![]()
First boot up with new flash drive, Frozen Touch Screen.
UUUUGGG!![]()
If I leave any flash drive out of the slot prior to booting up, it works fine ,every time.
I did just remember I also have Logitech wireless keyboard dongle plugged in. It is also USB 2.0
So I unplugged it and will see if anything changes? Not holding my breath.
I don’t think the keyboard is causing the issue, because if I leave the flash drive unplugged at bootup, with keyboard still plugged in, it works fine.
Even if it leaving the keyboard unplugged solves the issue, (which I highly doubt) what is the point of having 4 usb inputs if you cant use them?
My Masso has the newer v1.3 usb slot.
I also tried bypassing it by plugging flash drive directly into the Masso, which didn’t help.
The Most annoying part of all of this was prior to figuring out the flash drive issue.
I was forced to reboot multiple times to try to get it to connect, while doing that, every time you power down, even though it has the upgraded Brake Stepper Motor, it would drop down 1/4” to 1/2”
Doing that 4 or 5 times in a row means I have to un-clamp my project to move out of the way, or take the tool out of the spindle, or risk damage to either the tool or my project.
Are Massos usb ports under powered? Or is there something else going on?
My main fear is one day I will turn it on with the flash drive unplugged and the screen still doesn’t respond…..
I sure as hell hope that never happens!
