VCarve Question - Fluting or Moulding

Hello,

I want to make a pizza peel but want the end of the peel tapered so that it can scoop the pizza up. I did some research and it seems like the fluting and mounding toolpaths can achieve this, but I don’t know how to set it up.

Does anyone have any guidance on how I can taper in the end of the peel and how to set it up in VCarve Pro?

Yes, I have done it (using Carveco but same concept). Worked well to achieve taper on the end.

Another couple options:

  • make a greyscale image of the paddle with the taper in your favorite painting program. Import to VCarve as a grayscale height map

-manually cut or sand in the taper. I realize it’s not CNC …but probably faster if this is a low volume job.
