VFD Showing ERR 14 (Error 14) When Not Powered On

Redline made a configuration change in the VFD that allows it to properly respond to E-Stop and power loss — ensuring the spindle safely stops spinning in those events.

Because of this update, the VFD will now display “Error 14” whenever the machine/controller is powered off, estopped, or restarted.
This behavior is completely normal and expected.

How to clear error 14:

  1. Ensure the VFD and Controller are powered on and fully booted up
  2. Press the red STOP (Reset) button on the DRO.
  3. The VFD will exit the “Error14” state and begin flashing numbers, indicating it’s ready to operate normally.
