Hello
This is my first post to the forum. This issue has also been put in with customer service email and still waiting for reply.
Anyway, I have the Journeyman Elite. It’s been assembled for a couple of weeks. After surfacing the spoil board, I have only been using the JTech laser on the machine. Which had been operating just fine until a few days ago.
There is now a heavy vibration when the X and Y axis are moving together. When cutting a diagonal line for instance. So much so that the laser turns off when the vibration starts causing an intermittent cut line. BTW, This vibration happens whether the laser is attached to the machine or not.
I have measured the frame for square countless times in several different ways and get the exact same measurements of square.
For instance, not only did I measure between the feet of the machine as described in the manual, but also between the back feet and gantry blocks along different areas of the frame.
The frame itself has also been trammed in to within .005” throughout its cutting area.
Also, I have checked the grub screws within the ball nuts to make sure they are tight, and all the electrical connections have been checked many times.
I don’t know what else to do?
Again, this started a few days ago after running fine for a couple of weeks. Now I’m dead in the water. Can’t figure out what has changed.
Oh, I did find one of the white bushings in the X lead screw was loose and pulled out of place, but after snugging it down, the vibration issue was still unchanged.
