Virtual zero in vectric

I saw a post about virtual zero in v carve. The poster had a cupped work piece and was able to get a mostly uniform cut using “virtual zero”. Do we have this available on the 1F and if so any pointers? Thx

That’s interesting! I would think it is always a “virtual zero”, if you zero off the top of material vs. wasteboard, it’s a ficticious number other than from the absolute bottom of material (wasteboard) being zero.

I’ve been a V-carve user since version 3.1, never heard of it.

Unless you’re talking about a zero (datum) plane which is used for 3D modeling and basically creates what could be called a “virtual” zero point? More details can be seen here:
