What is a 2nm motor upgrade and what is the difference?

I have the journeyman elite series with 220 redline spindle stiffy and both the rapidchange ATC and the revoloution 4th axis. what is the motor upgrade about that they are showing with the black friday launch of the redline controller? are the motors stronger than what i have now? faster? I’d like to know before i commit to any change?

The motors you have now are 1.2Nm in size. The optional upgrade is for 2Nm sized motors and have more torque (and require a bigger power supply, which the Redline HMI controller has over the Masso controller.)

F.Y.I for those who may not know…

Nm stands for “Newton Meters”, which is a measurement of torque. You can Google it for further information.

2Nm = 2 Newton Meters
