Which direction for cutting

does it make a difference which direction you cut, left to right, right to left, front to back back to front. In what situations would you cut in one direction vs another. thanks

It matters a lot more (1) whether you are climb cutting or conventional. and (2) are you gong with the grain of the wood or against. and (3) What type of material are you are cutting. There is no easy answer to the question you are asking. It all depends on the answers to these questions.
