I am using v carve desk pro software and all my carvings have an x across the entire carve, it only happens in offset as strategy.

I posted something similar to this recently in that I do get an ‘x’ but I also get random elevated vertical and horizontal lines. The most confusing thing I see is that when I repeat the same project on different material, my lines sometimes show up in different places.
On the 3d offset finishing pass in vcarve, there’s a setting to minimize some of the perpendicular lines that I think you’re seeing… it’s called “stepover retract”. In my own experience I haven’t seen any difference. I’ve looked up this issue quite a bit but haven’t found any solutions.
