Given that I don’t like people to tell me how it was done before; I do have a suggestion for Buildbotics/Onefinity. I love my Foreman pro but I don’t like the zeroing.
I just upgraded from the Shapeoko 3 and the only thing I miss is how they run the zero. You can zero any bit that you can get partially in the zero-block hole. It drives the x negative then x positive and splits the difference and calculates x. the same with Y. Z axis is the same as Buildbotics. This allows for v bits and some from tools to be able to be automatically zeroed. Just a thought. I will continue to zero manually. Thanks for listening to an old man’s ramblings.
I understand what you’re saying. I have an old nomad and a 1F journeyman that I upgraded from buildbotics to elite. With the buildbotics controller, you can’t use the centring tool you mentioned, but it’s possible with the masso controller found in elite versions.
