X,Y,Z, Probe doesn't work with my Wall-Mounted Woodworker

How do I use my Touch Probe with my wall-mounted Woodworker?

How do I manually set my x,y,z, zero points manually?

Gravity is definitely against you in this installation when it comes to using the probing block - you would need to hold it in place for the two measures.

Manual probing solutions may depend on your workflow and the types of jobs you run.

If positioning rectangles of wood for flags etc you could simply create a fixed corner jig of know XY position, which gets you close enough for most of this type of work.

I mill mostly aluminum, and typically use 0.025 mm steel shim stock for setting Z height quickly within a reasonable tolerance.

For all the rest I use my 3D touch probe as I find it the fastest and most accurate.

Thank you for your prompt reply;

Could you elaborate please.

I am so new to CNCing. I am a slow learn.

Thanks again,

Ray

Home your machine

Move the router using the x and y button set to continuous

Zero out the x and y by tapping on the button

Lower Z axis down to a thickness of a piece of paper using step mode

Press Z button to zero out
