Z Issues while loading project

I just got my new machine up and running, and unfortunately I’m encountering an issue using the HMI. I am using VCarve Pro and the Redline post processor selected for my tool paths. Earlier today, I loaded a test file to verify everything looked correct, and everything looked great as the project aligned correctly over the wasteboard in the 3D graphic using what looked like a good working zero. Now, suddenly, every file I load is placing the project at machine zero for the Z axis instead of my set working zero, no matter what I do. Was there a setting I messed up somewhere?

Are you homing the z axis on startup?
And you setting the z zero before you start?

Yes, homing at startup and setting work zero is a standard routine of mine I developed on my previous machine. However, yesterday I decided to send it and ran the wasteboard flattening job, which surprisingly ran fine, minus what I believe to be a faulty USB cable causing random controller disconnects. I really appreciated that the controller safely stopped the spindle and paused in place when it dropped. However, since the g-code executed correctly, the weird 3D preview could possibly be a visual rendering glitch?

Try homing your machine again.
Then set home as zero all.
Then jog the machine to desired location and see if its position matches based on original home zero (X-15", Y-12")
if everything is ok rezero x and y at desired location and paper z zero to material top (if that is what was selected in the software)
Reinstall carve file and check the values

Still doing the same thing… I am running a carve right now with the 3D rendering at the top of the area, but the actual carve is running fine and cutting where it’s supposed to… Since it seems to be running fine this is more of an annoyance than anything.

I’ve resolved the issue. It turns out the spindle length offset was omitted during the initial setup prior to installing the tool setter. While addressing some wiring, I reviewed the manual, readjusted the spindle, and updated the measurement. System testing is complete, and everything is functioning as intended. I really appreciate those who took the time to lend a helping hand and try to figure something out.
