Mark, thank you for the 80mm update; I’ll add my voice to the chorus of other grateful and excited guys out there with 80mm spindles waiting on their shelves
Hi David,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
We are not offering updates to orders until new products have been launched. Once these have been launched, these products will be able to be purchased from our website.
If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know.
Thanks again.
Best Regards,

“One Machine Infinite Possibilities”
I did ask about the 80 mm mount on pending orders and this is there response. I think this means it will only be offered as an option?
My guess is it’ll be like the 10" monitor. Once they officially release it you’ll have to send them an email with your order number. It’s possible that it’ll cost more so there could be an extra charge so you’ll have to order it. Possibly two options, one to just order it for a machine you already have and a second option to order it as an upgrade for a machine on order yet not build.
Haha! I got the exact same response to my query. They are staying tight-lipped.
Not 100% sure but I looked back on the Instagram page and found that pre-orders started on May 21, 2020 and that date lines up with “a few weeks” from @Mark .
Thanks Anon, kinda hoping for new mount to come out before my 1F arrives in late June for a possible upgrade before shipping. Don’t want to delay the machine though LOL!
May 21st is Onefinity’s anniversary
Well guys, I updated my spindle design and I’ll be uploading to thingiverse today.
But works like a dream.
totally new here just and just started reading. I have a ship date in Aug. What are the advantages of the 80mm spindle? I also hear they are more quiet. Trying to decide what to do before I go out and buy anything.
Can we get a few more pictures, please? This looks great!
The 80mm spindle allows for larger diameter router bits. Mainly 1/2" shank bits. 1/2" bits don’t flex as much as 1/4" (or smaller diameter) bits. For most it’s probably not needed but more options are usually a good thing.
What’s the best 80mm spindle kits? Would it be better to run a 210 Volt or is 120V good enough?
They are quiet, you can run them indefinitely. You can fit lots of different shanks and tools. Plus way more power.
i have a bunch more pictures and videos over on the facebook group and ill be posting more as i do more ugrades
sold, now to find one. thanks for the info
If larger stepper motors would make it possible to make cut times shorter I would def be interested in this.
What are you using for the pump for the water cooled spindle?
I’m going to use the cheap Chinese pump that came with the HY spindle and VFD package. I do have a flow switch that has both a light and a switch so if the flow drops below 2 gmp it’ll give me a warning and if I wire it up to the controller stop the cut.
I’ve read the 3500L/min output but I really doubt these pumps can do that. But I’ve never measured it. I don’t think adding anything more than a simple bucket of water is needed. The pump can run just fine at temps above room temperature. So I don’t think one of those stand alone cooling pumps are needed.
However if you really wanted to get geeky we use solid state chillers where I work. No refrigerant is needed so no compressor or gasses to leak out.
i use a cw-3000. pretty simple and cheap
I’ve got one on order. Recommendations on the tubing?
