Thank you for this. I have just purchased a refurbished one off eBay for $199 after seeing your recommendation.

Dell S2340T 23in touchscreen monitor works perfectly, touchscreen is perfect for my bad eyes and fat fingers.

I realize this is an old listing but the links on Amazon keep changing - so here’s the screen I just bought. The controls are a little funky but the screen works great once it’s set up.

13.3inch TouchScreen monitor installed today and working fine

Looks like a nice unit. Good resolution, good size, etc. Now that you have it, would you go larger or smaller or is this just right? Thanks for posting.

I use a laptop with a monitor and mouse set up about 10’ away. Works fine but it would be nice to just tap on the screen beside the CNC when using the probe for setting z-height, etc. Just a convenience thing so I wouldn’t want to spend too much on it.

Personally I wouldn’t want to go much smaller. And I don’t need anything larger as I only have a small shop (by which I mean garden shed).

Finally getting to this. My 15in seems to be the perfect size for my poor eyes and yet not too big that it gets in the way or is at risk of getting hit.

Hi Gregg
I purchased the monitor based on your suggestion but I cannot get the touch screen to work. I’ve tested it on my laptop and it works fine, looks like it had to install the driver to get it to work. But on the 1F it’s not working. I’ve tried numerous different cable to no avail. What kind of cable did you use to get it working?
thanks in advance!

Hey Duc,

this has already been answered frequently.

The answer is in the manual, page 38 and 39.

Be sure to have all three(!) cables connected correctly. The USB cable for the Touch device has of course to be a fully populated USB cable. A charger/power supply USB cable will not work.

The in-detail explanation why you need three cables is here.

thank you for a prompt answer! I’ve read all the manuals and posts I can find on the forum about the topic. Yes, I understand it needs all 3 cable and I’ve made sure to use a cable that can carry data and not just a charge cable for the middle USB port. I used the cable that came with the monitor and purchased two separate cables to test it as well. Here’s the link to the cable I used

I accidentally stumble onto a solution but I don’t think it’s the right one. I’ve actually swap the two Type-C cable and it worked! So, on my monitor, I know that the bottom USB C port (left-most on your picture) is supposed to be the charge cable that I’ve plugged into the power block.
I’ve checked the manual for the monitor and indeed they say to plug the bottom port into an outlet. I’m not sure why it worked and why swapping it got the touch screen to work.
I’m afraid it may be a temporary fix because the screen will flicker (turn on and off) once in a while. I actually ordered a second unit and tried the same thing with similar result. However, the second unit touch function stop working but the first one still works. I’ve read mixed review about the touch function stop working on Amazon review. I may buy a different brand and see if it works better.
I’m pulling my hair out trying to find out why it’s not working like the way it’s supposed to…
any other suggestions apprecated.

did you have to install any driver or use any special cable? just plug and play?

Looking for some help in configuring the Wimaxit 15.6in touch screen monitor with the X50 woodworker Buildbotics controller. Monitor displays OK, but touchscreen is not active, and a “arrow” cursor is present on the screen using the HDMI cable provided, and a USB to USB-C cable connected between the Buildbotics box and monitor. I’ve tried multiple USB to USB-C cables and have the monitor’s second USB-C input as the power. The monitor’s touchscreen function works with my laptop using USB-C inputs, so I don’t think it is a monitor’s problem. I saw this monitor was listed as a compatable monitor, so I am wondering what I could be doing wrong with the setup. Thanks

i have this one and it works perfectly.

I got the cheapest regular PC monitor and a wired mouse. Works a treat, no fanny around with a touch screens. Its big (well the smallest i could get from PC world) it sits back from the front of of the cnc table, mounted on a monitor arm that is mounted to the wall that, i had knocking around. I taped over the top air vents with blue painters tape; no issue.

The Asus VT168H ( will work with the Onefinity, but the resolution is only 1366X768, not the full HD 1920x1080 that the Onefinity is capable of. After using it for four months, and getting frustrated with the blurriness of the text that was displayed, I upgraded to another monitor that had full 1920x1080 resolution. It is so much better!

Hi all,
Just wanted to let people know I was able to use the following touchscreen on the BB controller.
It is a Visual Beat 15.6 touchscreen.

Just make sure that all cables are connected properly.
