Considering upgrade

I currently have the x-50 Woodworker 32x32 (purchased used). I recently fried my BB Controller and considering upgrading to the Masso controller but kind of confused. Im catching on pretty quickly but dont want to jump in too quickly.

  1. Am i ready for an upgrade since i am new to the world of CNC (which is how i fried my controller). LOL
  2. What additional equipment is necessary for an upgrade?
  3. Would an upgrade make my machine an Elite?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
