Elite Foreman on it's way!

It is hard to believe that in almost 5 months they have not been able to complete an order that was made in the first 20 minutes.

I think I’ve read that some people received their orders before others who had a lower order number… if that’s true, then I’m curious what other factors are in play to cause further delays over others. Maybe other items on the same order are delayed (stiffy, stand, etc), or maybe it’s only the foreman demand specifically. I’m higher up on the list but I’m optimistic that I won’t be getting my order in December. Mainly because I’m guessing the order numbers are for all parts and machines and probably not only elite machines.

Anyone have a idea when you’re supposed to get a email about the cnc software after you receive the elite cnc.

I got mine way before the machine showed up, months

I got my code like a week and a half after i bought it. Originally they said they would send you the code when your machine shipped. A week later, they said they wanted to get it to you asap so you can play around and learn it. Doesn’t make sense to me personally because if i installed it when they sent it, i would have used 4 months and counting without my new machine.

Ordered 11/30 code sent 12/10… why i ordered after and got before you idk, but that’s the way it was.

Yeah as of yet I have not got the code from them. I will have to email again. tks

I have months to go before my unit arrives. I’m a complete newbie to CNC and am a little terrified of the learning curve. So yes, my friend, anything you could do to share your knowledge, in an easy to understand format, would be greatly appreciated by all of us in the beginners boat.

Congratulations on the email. I checked and nothing for me yet but I hope it will be soon.

I just left the 1F web site so far the “Shipping Info” tab does NOT have the link to check your expected ship date by order#. As promised by the email on the 12th said. The wait is getting disheartening!

There are still 10 hours left in the day. Check back at 5pm EST and it may be up

Thanks for the update. After this long wait delays are getting old.

Info on shipping is up now…

Jim,
28 years ago when the place I worked at got a CNC for sample making, I got to start out with a Kongsberg that had a bed size of 86"x220" guaranteed to be flat to within .0001, I miss it!

But I also miss having a fully parametric 10K ArtiosCAD system complete with 3D that puts VCarve Pro & SketchUp to shame, even though both are very good programs.

Always save your fancy scrap, you never know what you can make!

Enjoy your Foreman!

Order number 34598 Elite Foreman and QCW arriving one week early and should be in San Diego, Ca. April 28, 2023

That sounds like good news for me! I’m about 200 after you. My Journeyman is supposed to be delivered next week sometime.

Got UPS notification, my 1F should arrive on 5/2/22.

what software will you be using? I would recommend the vcarve pro as it seems to be the best price to functionality point that i have found. ( I hate subscriptions) paying for something over and over again is not my thing I want to own it and be done. I would also recommend the learn your cnc course. I have been taking it and I have learned more in a month’s time than I did in the previous year, and i am still going. you would be amazed at what you can do by fully understanding the software even before you get your machine. The time it saves you designing your projects is precious. Not to mention all the broken bits you will avoid by knowing your stuff so well.
