I also ordered the Elite upgrade kit and a new Redline spindle. I’m also amateur and this is just a hobby. However I’m confused on the third rail-seems like a third rail anyway. I have the x50 with two rails. The upgrade has the new Z-20 slider but not the third “stiffy”. Do I need to add it or not?
“need” is up to the user. We ‘recommend’ it.
If you are carving metal aerospace parts, you will notice the absence of a stiffy.
If you are carving plywood door signs that can be up to 1/8 out, you will not notice the absence of a stiffy.
