I did not implement the hall effect sensors. I am currently using proximity sensors, which are working out well thus far.
Why did you not put them on eventually. And do you still have some form of limit switch.
If I recall it was simply a matter of time. I had other aspects of my build that were more important, and for me to progress in my build I opted for a ready made product. Yes, I have a proximity switch on each axis that act as homing switches. I 3D printed mounts for each.
