Yes, but it is nice to have the versatility. With my frame only 29”s wide, it is a small footprint when needed. I wanted a table that would hold everything and if any upgrades are completed later, the table will be able to support it.
I borrowed your idea about the long wooden strips to hold the x-axis. Makes it a lot easier to fold.
