when I turned on my elite Forman this morning, I hit the E stop like normal then double tap home it moves to home but, the Masso is displaying homing please wait. no matter how long I wait it never changes and if I try and jog it back away from the front the B motor does not move.
have powered off several times, and have unplugged the power supply.
3 hours and not one reply. This is why you need a phone number someone can call. Entire day waisting away.
Usual computer doesn’t work troubleshooting thoughts: Verify that cabling is all plugged in fully, especially the sensors and motors. Clean dust from optical sensors. View the F1 page, and try toggling high flags to low (or the reverse) on anything that looks abnormal, then reboot, wait 30 seconds, and turn back on. Consider updating Masso to the newest version, having saved a backup beforehand. Remove the USB key, try rebooting without it in.
hey dude. I think you are confused. Do you think you are contacting support directly here? This is a community forum.
I know but my point is they want me to try here first. That’s my point no response for 4 hours. They needa better system
All above was checked before I posted here. Ther is a green light on the stepper for that rail. And latest version of software is installed and was working fine till this morning
With the power off, physically move the carriage to a different position, then power back on. This will also tell you if you have a blockage in the travel.
Done that multiple times. Moves smoothly and easily. Still will not complete the homing sequence. If I jog without homing it will only travel halfway on X and Y solid green lights on all motors
Sounds like your absolute origin is out of whack
Look at the machine co-ordinates to verify it’s true position with a tape measure
I don’t think Onefinity has ever said check here first before contacting them. When they do happen to visit this forum, they will usually suggest contacting them at Support@onefinitycnc.com or when the problem is clearly outside of there expertise, they may ask you to contact MASSO Support directly to open a ticket. Keep in mind MASSO is based in Australia, when looking for them to address tickets in timely manner.
Search prompt in Google: “Masso G3 stuck at homing”
First hit was a troubleshooting page on the Masso website, with this line: “If after homing the machine sits and Flashes homing but does nothing the most likely cause is Auto Tool Zero is turned on but you have not set it up correctly. If disabling Auto Tool Zero fixes the homing error but you have a tool setter installed please check your tool setter settings as this is where the problem lies.”
Yes this fixed the issue
Thank you helping him.
