Ran into an issue I can’t seem to clear. Foreman with G3 masso controller. The vac hose came loose from the hanger. I found it lodged between the head and the left rail and the x alarm was going off. Figured it would be easy to clear and reset, but I am struggling. Clearing errors didn’t seem to do anything. After power cycling several times I was able to get it to try to home, but it isn’t actually doing it. The z position counter starts going up, but the head isn’t actually rising. Then it throws a homing error.
Today I have gotten it to budge a little. After a power cycle (with the e-stop down) it will let me try to home, but the z screw will only make 2 revolutions before throwing a Z error.
So typical troubleshooting.
Disconnect the motors from the couplers and see how freely you can turn the ballscrews by hand (if hard possible bent ballscrew or stuck bearing)
If good- power up and see if the motors turn freely
If motors don’t turn- check wiring connections to each motor
Ok, I seems that my issue has turned out to be a bit more serious. After resetting all the connections and testing a different homing order nothing has helped. Onefinity suggested that the hose may have caused a static discharge that damaged the Masso board. Submitted a ticket to Masso. I’ll update here when I get a fix since it seems like an odder issue that might help others.
