Need File Converted

I have a CRV file that I want exported to a DXF file, I only have the trail version of VCarve Pro as im using this for my school woodshop project. It won’t let me upload the file as I just made the account so I’ll have to send the file over a different way. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help!

I don’t believe it’s possible to covert a CRV file from a trial version of VCarve, even with a licensed copy.

I looked into VCarve to see if it was more intuitive to generate gCode than Fusion.

During the research I ran into a few conversations about what you’re asking (one I believe was a not-for-profit in Australia asking a similar question, right in this forum) It seems that the files are locked through encryption to the local copy of VCarve.

I don’t recall if a paid version was purchased and installed on the same computer if you could then take files your worked on in the trial and convert them, but as far as bringing a trial version CRV file to a licensed version of VCarve on another computer, they have that locked down pretty hard.

There may be other…. aftermarket solutions to do this but I didn’t run across any in my research.

At the end of the day it seems that while Vetric does offer a pretty robust trial version it’s better to either just play with it on projects you have no intention of sharing or generating g-code for or be prepared to recreate them in the future on a licensed copy.

Again, I couldn’t find any clarity as to wether you could open your files and export them/create g-code if you chose to switch to licensed version on the same computer the trial version is installed, so that still may be a possibility.

Is it possible to export the file into any other CAD format? I can import/export just about any standard CAD format, but .CRV files are proprietary to V-Carve. This is one of the aspects I dislike about V-Carve. I work with all manner of different CAD files, so if it’s possible to export it as something different I might be able to help.
