Got my new Foreman Gen 1 with Masso up and running but the X Axis will not come forward enough to hit centre of tool setter. Homing switches are fully “home” up the slot but 1/2 inch more travel on ball screws can be seen. Even if I got the X further to the front the switch “fins” would be too long. Not sure of way out of this - do the sensor switch “fins” come in shorter lengths for different models? Everything works OK but I wanted to put my Rapid TC on front rail, as it is no hope
, appreciate a solution please- thanks
Did you purchase this in the uk from trend tool?
I would reach out to Onefinity support. The Y axis (not X) trigger shown looks like the trigger arm is much longer than those I have seen in installation videos.
Thanks, always difficult when you have not another to compare- these look long but were already attached out of the box.
Yes Trend UK- no complaints.
For machines sold by Trend in the UK, this is normal.
The UK requires additional machine safety directives for compliance, one of which relates to pinch points. To meet these requirements, your machine is equipped with longer sensor triggers, which increase the clearance in certain areas so users cannot pinch or injure themselves.
Because of this regulation, your axis positions will have slightly more gap than standard machines, and the Y-axis will not travel quite as far forward.
When using a tool setter mounted on the QCW, it may appear slightly off-center. This has no effect on functionality and will work correctly. However, this configuration does prevent the use of an ATC together with the QCW mount on UK-compliant machines.
