I just watched the drag chain assembly part of the Official Elite Upgrade Kit Assembly Video to have a closer look at this drag chain (you confirmed above that the Elite and the PRO drag chains will be identical)
The method with which the drag chain raceway is held in place is not very strong. On the one side, it is not even bolted to anywhere, just slid into a rectangular recess, and secured with two screws on the other side.
But it seems to me that it would be possible for users the mount a slightly wider raceway (if they are able to make a custom part) and chain, let’s say 40 mm, to the parts that hold it.
I have one question:
Is the drag chain raceway you deliver with the PRO Series and the Elite Upgrade made of plastic or of aluminium?
