Rolling fold up table

Does anyone own a rolling fold up table ? How do you find the rigidity?

There’s a rolling “flip up” table in another discussion. You might want to check there.

Check out this post

I built one for my JM. I just extended the top to fit my new Foreman.

Here’s my original write-up: Lessons Learned for Flip/Fold up/down Tabletop - #2 by JimHatch

I changed out the winch from a 12VDC version to a standard 120VAC so I could plug it into the table wiring. I also added pins to hold the legs in place when tilted as they don’t lock down tight enough to prevent moving as the table is tilted.

I’m waiting for OF to come out with extension cables so I can route the cables inside the table and move the HMI to the cabinet top where I had the monitor. The VFD and controller will go in the cabinet where I had the BB controller. Until then I have to disconnect the wires to the boxes and remove the HMI when I flip the table.

In operation it’s certainly sturdy enough. There’s an awful lot of mass in the table and the legs are pretty robust. When I opened the top to extend it, I added blocking behind the legs and made them through bolts with nuts vs the t-track bolts I was using. I found I don’t need the ability to slide the legs back & forth along the t-track I embedded in the table sides.

I’ve got the Redline spindle on my Foreman and am running more aggressive speeds than I did with the JMan with Makita router. It’s working out well.
