You have to set your Scale Factor in Vetric to get a better estimation. There are many factors that effect that value and it is different for everybody.
You run a project and capture the run time. Then go to Vetric and adjust the Scale Factor until it is close to the actual time.
It will also be a different Scale Factor for 3D runs and vector carves.
I have done that before and it’s always pretty close, just trying to figure out why it’s so far off. A few other 3d carves same bit about the same detail and feeds were only about 30 min off. This one is 9hrs different that’s what is perplexing. I included the file in case someone wanted to see what I was seeing. Thanks for the reply I just guess that’s the time this one will take. Guess a Saturday morning early start is on this weekends schedule!
VCarve doesn’t account for axis acceleration and will calculate runtime based on only your max value. When you’re doing 3D carves, the machine is constantly accelerating and decelerating, so time estimates can be way off. I once had an estimated 14hr carve that took nearly 3 days to complete.
