A new (for me) monitor problem appeared this month (4 years with the machine and no changes in electronics for 1.5 years).
At random times the screen goes black, while the controller functions without interruption. The screen spontaneously returns. This happens when the vacuum is off, while on, while carving and while idle for a bit change. The monitor remains plugged into a power strip that connects to wall outlet. The other device on that wall outlet is a room fan. The only other device on the power strip is the Buildbotics controller.
Grounding is in place without changes, “anti-EMI” ferrite sleeves remain on every line connected to the monitor (and all other lines). The monitor power line has been re-cleaned and inspected.
Is this a monitor that’s soon to die?
