Well, that looks promising! my order is 18940, haven’t recieved shipping notices yet. I bet they’re coming soon though!
18681 Journeyman, should be seeing something soon too
First post! Order #18238 on it’s way to Georgia! Just got my notification this morning (9/20) and it shows estimated delivery on Wednesday 9/22.
Now I’m kinda regretting not getting the rolling frame since it’d be another long wait.
how long ago did you receive a tracking number before it actually shipped?
Received my 1F and my probe today. Not sure when I’ll get my QCW or the fold out legs, but I’m happy things are moving.
18686 Here for my upgrade… hope to see something soon.
So I got my tracking number yesterday and it actually arrived a day early today! I’m sure it was shipped before yesterday, but they only sent me the tracking number yesterday at 11am.
Got a shipping notice day before yesterday… #18858. A bit earlier than I expected!
According to the table, 2 weeks before testing for my JourneyMan upgrade. 19078
#18864, scheduled delivery 9/30 !
You ain’t kidding it’s a long wait. I ordered my QCW Table on June 10 (the day they supposedly came available). Absolutely NOTHING was said about delays - here we are in the end of September and they won’t even give me a guesstimate on delivery. I sold the table I was going to use in anticipation of a new one. Now my machine is sitting on the floor still in the shipping boxes waiting for a table. Onefinity is using Covid as a crutch … and letting their suppliers do it as well.
I feel your frustration. I think they did too much at one time and it delayed everything. They for sure should update their shipping table dates as they are obviously off. And it sucks that upgrades are on the same timetable as a full machine.
Actually it did say they were future shipping based on the shipping schedule posted in the site. I looked because I was interested and noticed they were about a month behind so the “your order will ship in 10 weeks” was something I figured wasn’t gonna happen. I did ask why they didn’t update the schedule and they replied that they thought they’d be able to catch up.
They haven’t shown anything less than 3 weeks late vs the shipping schedule since the spring. Also, the schedule shows when your order is supposed to arrive but the shipping update shows which orders they’re shipping so there’s an extra week’s delay in when you can expect orders.
There was a post here in the last couple of weeks where they admitted they’re a month behind. I figured from that and the posted schedule that anything ordered after Sept 15 will be a 2022 delivery even though they’re still claiming 10 weeks.
Covid delays are real - just look at the issues with shipping containers and ships stuck in port. It’s easy for us to forget the rest of the world is still getting very sick and causing staffing issues (amongst everything else) with getting products made, loaded into containers, loaded onto ships and ultimately unloaded here. There are a record number of container ships waiting off the coast of CA for port space and unloading. And then if course there’s the issue with getting truck drivers (which preceded Covid).
But you’re right about it being a crutch. We all know about those impacts - update the schedule with that impact accounted for. Show the true 14-16 week probable delay between order & shipping. Five months (as long as I’ve been watching) of hoping to catch up proves they won’t be catching up soon so it’d be more honest to adjust the posted schedule now and if they’re able to speed things up they can always re-adjust to better dates. I don’t think anyone would complain if their order got shipped earlier.
My order was supposed to be delivered the week of Oct 3. I’m figuring based on their shipping schedule that it will actually be Thanksgiving (assuming holiday orders don’t turn a 5 day UPS truck trek across the country into more).
#21751 here. Ordered on 9/23. It’s gonna be a long wait.
Maybe Santa will bring it, or the Easter Bunny, who knows.
Meanwhile I will work on getting a corner of the
shop ready and dust collection piped over there.
I’m going to place an order tonight. Email conversation with OF persons have been going on for a couple days now. They stated orders placed now are starting in 218xxx. I’ve asked about a little reassurance on getting the orders back on track but haven’t heard anything. From what i’ve heard it’s worth the wait but still it’s 4 months of dreadful waiting for a $2k ish machine/Big Boy Toy to arrive!
We are trying our best but the supply chain in the entire world right now is extremely unpredictable.
That’s what I decided. I could have gotten a ShapeOko months ago, but then I’d have a ShapeOko ![]()
I want a OneFinity and I’m willing to wait. Not everyone is in the same position though which is why I’d advocate for more reality in the schedule so no one builds their castle in the sky thinking the 10 weeks projected delivery time is real and then find out that they’re going to need to wait another month or two. I’ve seen way too many people with other products (lasers, CNC plasmas) making crazy financial and business commitments that they couldn’t keep when the machine wasn’t delivered when expected.
If you can afford to wait, I’m pretty darn sure it’s worth the wait. But if you need something guaranteed, it might not be a good idea to plan on the 1F.
@JimHatch
I just read this post and I believe you you hit the nail on the head…
I waited 28 years to find my wife for life…
It took me until my late 40’s to afford the truck I always wanted…
It took 4 MONTHS to wait for a Onefinity over a year ago…
I’ve never looked back, and I don’t regret a thing!
Thank You!
Good to hear from someone with more experience. I’m not even 28 years old (24 this month). I’m excited and I see the 4 months as a nice easy prep phase, learning CAM, setting up enclosure, and getting other parts. I can’t wait but then again I can. It’s going to be a battle.
I’m ok with it. Just a little up front sticker shock but I understand. Can’t wait to join the Onefinity Team.
