Shipping updates?

Yeah I know the frustration. I went through this with a laser and two CNC plasmas.

The engineering if the 1F was what did it for me. I considered a Shapeoko but didn’t like the belt & v-wheel design as much as a screw & bearing design. Longmill has a decent design but I figured the tubing rail approach 1F uses is more extendable (I was sourcing the parts when they announced the Journeyman doing exactly what I was planning).

I’m coming from a Shopbot Desktop but need a bigger capacity so I can appreciate the screw & bearing approach. It was rock solid and I expect the 1F to be the same.

It is frustrating that they keep the optimistic schedule posted even when history shows they’re not going to “catch up” anytime soon, but that’s pretty much core to every entrepreneurial startup. Can’t change them so I figure I just have to go with it. :man_shrugging:

I haven’t seen many people mention the Longmill, but I’m a huge fan of the design for a lesser expensive machine. It almost seems like an undiscovered underdog. Mechanically, it’s somewhat of a crude looking machine, but solid in design. I have no idea how good (or not) their controller system is. I don’t know how long the Longmill has been around, but I would definitely have chosen it over my X-Carve back in 2016 had I known about it back then.

Just got my machine, the Longmill is probably a decent machine. It’s not a Onefinity not even close. But it should do almost anything you need it to. It was a tough four months waiting for the Onefinity but now that I have it I would wait again!!

Cool you have the Maslow too. How has it worked out for you?

Yes, Patience is a Virtue! Ordered my machine on 01 May and received word yesterday that my order # 16999 received a UPS tracking number and anticipation arrival date of 07 Sept. Bring it home Onefinity!

Hey KCBrown, The Maslow was much much better than I expected. I had a C-beam z axis so it could do most things including 2.5 and full 3d cuts. It is slower, forgiving, fun to watch, and an excellent way to get into the hobby.
Of course Onefinity does everything faster with more accuracy so I ended up selling the Maslow to reclaim the space in my shop.

Very cool. I have the one finity and love it. The Maslow seems like a really cool piece of equipment and I considered it.

Just got mine a couple days ago (Sept 3) Original shipping estimate was July 31. Order #168XX,

I’m order 21187 omgawd… lol :grimacing:

Alleluia! Onefinity brought her home today. Order #16999 May 01 - Sept 10 (4months 10days). Patience is a Virtue! Thank heavens for this forum and the many threads. First problem was “homing” and thanks to a thread by Onefinity video the fix is corrected. On to more projects. Worthy of the wait!

Got mine today. One week shy of 4 months. Looks good Onefinity. Gonna be a fun weekend.

It’s here it’s finally here the wait is over. 3 huge and heavy boxes. Ordered May 12 received September 14. The party is starting for this guy!!!

Order #18315 - I got the UPS tracking notification that labels were printed.

Yep. I happened to check their shipping chart today and it looks like they’re still running a month behind schedule (they just shipped orders yesterday that were supposed to be delivered the week of August 14). They aren’t updating the schedule with more realistic shipping dates because they think they’re going to catch up. Haven’t seen any progress on that front in the past couple of months - they seem to be consistently 3 to 4 weeks behind so best not to plan on the dates in the Order Info chart.

Currently the order info says that ordering today (they updated it Sept 13 so really this week and not specifically “today”) has a 10 week wait for “Late October - Early November” to ship. Except the end of October is only 6 weeks away plus another 4 weeks brings you to the end of November before it would be scheduled to ship according to the published schedule (some calendar counting challenge there because they’re projecting a date that’s more like 6 or 7 weeks, not 10 weeks away). Add the additional week on average it takes to arrive, two possibly with holiday shipping volumes, plus 4 week delay they’ve been experiencing for the past several months (while maintaining that all orders were backordered the same 10 weeks) and you’re really closing in on the end of the year if you order now. The shipping schedule should really be updated because they’ve not shown any real ability to “catch up”. It is what it is though and patience will lead to what is probably the best CNC at the price point out there.

That’s all before holidays so with Thanksgiving and Christmas and Boxing Day  coming up, I’d expect anything ordered this month going forward is going to be a 2022 delivery.

Sooo… the shipping table was updated 9/13. It doesn’t show that my order number (18367) is even testing/packing yet. Just received tracking number showing 9/18 delivery. I was expecting to wait a few more weeks. I’m not prepared! (Not complaining). It looks like shipping times are improving!!!

Order #18315 - I got the UPS tracking notification that labels were printed on the 16th and today I got an update it was delivered (18th)… anyhow I had triplets !!
