Solution to the masso pendant connection debacle

All of you know by now that the Masso pendant does not connect to the controller without some major modifications. Here is the solution to that problem. Two parts, not very expensive, will allow you to connect the pendant to the controller without taking apart anything, and it fits into the Masso controller case perfectly. I got started on this from Rizzo Brians post. here is the updated parts link from L-com

and
Slimline Gender Changer, DB15 Female / Female - DGB15F

With these two relatively inexpensive parts you can avoid stripping down the end of your db15 cable on the pendant and just plug it in, straight up and secure. No exposing wires. I also talked to one of their engineers to ask about making the right-angle connecter with female socket on the straight end and told him why it would be a good thing to produce, and they are going to have a powwow about it and get back to me. They were very receptive about it especially when
I told them they could sell hundreds of them if they had them because that would make to whole thing easier and cheaper to buy. So, fingers crossed they might actually produce them for us. i hope this is helpful to someone.

wow I only ordered it this morning and i got a shipping notice by email at 3:20 this afternoon. just as an update the total cost was 49 dollars. not exactly cheap but for the peace of mind not having loose wires inside the Masso to possibly get pulled out if I snag something ( which I know could NEVER happen to me). LOL It is worth it.

Debacle? “major” modifications? Seriously dude? If removing 2 screws is a “major modification”, then you might wanna buckle up. Life is about to become VERY difficult for you.

Anytime you must put loose wires in an enclosure without the protection of proper connection and strain relief that is a major flaw. As to Massos total lack of planning in producing a product that can’t be used in their own controller without modification yes that is a mistake. If you had to remove the outer covering for an appliance plug in your home just to plug it in, would you not consider that a failure of engineering? Snide remarks aside I believe you are wrong. Thank you for your insight into my life though. I shall give it all the attention it deserves.

Ok, first…the wires are NOT loose. And there IS a proper connection. I happen to agree with you on the point of design so un-clutch those pearls and take a breath will ya?

Describing this as a “major modification” is misleading to those who are not familiar with this particular design flaw. RELAX

thank you for your advice.

I think you will find that the wires coming out of the 90 degree connector is going the wrong way?
You want the wires pointing down not up
