Help! Losing “Home” during carves

Two times on the same carve my machine drops (reassigns) it’s X home position. The first time it happened about 1 hr into a 10 hr carve. This last time, I only had 2 hrs to go… I have made many small carves with no issues. The carve that is causing grief is a stacked text wedding sign that I’m working on. Fusion 360 cad and cam, 3D parallel tool path set 45 degrees to the grain of the board. Carve starts on the front right and works toward the top left (X starts off on the right…

Help! Losing “Home” during carves

I didn’t actually take apart my right side Y axis to determine the issue. That would have been my next step if I didn’t get resolution from tech support/ customer I can say that the ball nut did fit into the gantry tightly. Actually the fit was considerably tighter than the left side ball nut fit. I had to loosen the ball screw nut and pound the end of the ball screw to get it out of the gantry block. I don’t believe the issue was bad machining, though I don’t know for sure. My guess is th…
