Swapping one Y axis to be used for the other

One of my Y axis( one without the drag chain) had issue. Onefinity sent me a replacement Y axis but sent the one with the drag chain. They did say “they are identical and I can just take the drag chain off”

Which I think is partially correct. I also do think the parts used are the same but the two Y axis are assembled slightly different.

The first thing is, let’s say I take off the drag chain, and place the New Y axis in place , problem is the black cover that is supposed to prevent saw dust from making the screw dirty is on the wrong side.

So I thought I would just swap that to the right side but after taking that off , realized the black cover won’t go to the other side as easy , in order to switch it to the other side I would need to take out the guide block and install it the other way ( if that makes sense) since there is only an opening on one side of the guide block for the black cover.

Or alternatively I could leave the black cover and the block guide in place and swap the screw and the motor and install it the other way.

Sorry if I didnt explain well, any help is appreciated.
