Trouble Understanding How to Properly Zero Workpiece After Probing

I’m having some difficulty understanding how to properly zero my workpiece.

I’ve used the touch probe to find the X, Y, and Z coordinates on the workpiece. After probing, the machine seems to move immediately to what looks like the lower-left corner of the workpiece. However, when I start the job, the machine appears to begin cutting from its default home position (machine zero) rather than the probed zero position.

If it makes any difference, I’m using the woodworker pro.

A good first thing to check before running the program, is to set X, Y, and Z, then jog the cutter down to X0, Y0, Z0 (or very close to Z0). Then look at the screen and confirm the machine says X0, Y0, Z0. This helps confirm that the machine thinks the home position matches where you think the home position is.
