What am I overlooking - carveco issue/question?

I’m thoroughly enjoying learning the CNC and making new projects. In the learning process after every mistake I can easily figure out what I did wrong, weather I had entered something incorrect in carveco maker, saved the wrong toolpath, forgot to set zero, etc. But I can’t figure out what’s happening with this one, I must be overlooking something simple. Any help is appreciated….

I’m making some catchall trays with an epoxy inlayed logo - pic of a complete project below. The process I’m using is I clear out the bowl, then carve out for the logo. Fill will epoxy, once cured I bowl it out again .055" deeper to smooth out the epoxy. The problem I’m having is when I do the second area clearance cut with the bowl & tray bit it cuts wider than the original. I want it to cut .055" deeper, but don’t understand why it’s cutting wider. I’ve double, triple checked that I’ve hit the ‘calculate now’ and loaded the new/correct toolpath. In fact, you can see it happening in the simulation, the only between the two toolpaths is the start/finish depths. What am I overlooking?

Thanks for any guidance.

- original bowl area clearance toolpath (LEFT-bowlout)
- Second cut to resurface epoxy toolpath (LEFT-resurface)
- Simulation of resurface cut showing it cutting wider (I left out the logo cuts in this simulation, but same results with logo)
