Woodworking making awful noise

This is a copy of the email I sent to tech support. I’ve sent it twice, so I don’t know if it’s getting through or not. If I get an answer there I’ll note it here. I’m not trying to call anyone out…I just need some assistance.

My machine has developed a problem when moving on the X-axis that it makes the noise in the video. Also, sometimes it moves in the wrong direction as I’ve tried to show in the video. This only happens about 75% of the distance from front to back on the y-axis. When I move to a point further forward, this doesn’t happen. The second video shows this. It’s either on or off, based on a point on the y-axis. I have tried squaring the machine, tightening the couplers, and everything I could think of. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your email.

It’s 100% a wire issue. This faq will help you diagnose which one it is.

When I pushed the x-axis motor wire harness into the clip it worked…for a few seconds. So I think there’s probably a short in the wire. I’ll order a new wiring set.

Thanks for the help.
