Thank you. I first used plywood but decided plexiglass would allow me to see what was happening from any angle. It does keep the debris away from the controller.
Well for what is’s worth. I took a gamble and bought a 22" PLANAR PCT2235 touch screen monitor for use with my 1F. It is apparently not compatible. The display works fine but for $300, I need touch screen capability that works. I have a tiny PC that may be able to bridge the gap…so I’ll give it a try… (I searched for the above verified monitors prior to ordering this one but nobody had them) ugh
Could I use a raspberry pi touch screen?
Thank you!
Craig
Where did you get the stand for this monitor?
Amazon.com. I listed it in a former post.
I just found the Dell 2418HT display which seems me a later model of the same display. It is a “Like New” used display with VGA, DisplayPort, and HDMI video connectivity, USB3 Upstream and two USB3 Downstream ports. It seems that this display has all the connectivity needed to work with the Onefinity.
New ones are out of my price range, refurbished ones seem to be in the $325 - $375 range. I was able to find this one for $240 including shipping and tax. I hope it works so it turns out it is a bargain and not a doorstop.
Does anyone have the Hannspree 22 inch touch screen on the 1F
Cheers Robbie from the UK
Has anybody tried a tablet? I just got a 10" amazon fire tablet and would like to know if there are any drawbacks to using it instead of the 7 or 10" HD monitor that can be ordered with the 1F CNC.
Tablets are an output only device.
I’m not sure how to interpret that answer. Monitors are an output only device also. But with a touch screen, it also allows input to setup and control the 1F CNC. What I would like to know is: are there things that can only be done on the touch screen monitor that I couldn’t do with an Amazon Fire Tablet?
From the perspective of the HDMI connection on a tablet, it is intended to output video to another screen not input it from a device such as the Onefinity controller.
tv/monitors are in video input device, tablets/computers are an hdmi output only device.
HDMI provides the video, the USB C connection back to the controller provides the inputs. If you can route the inputs back to the controller from the tablet, it might work. Seems like a lot of work though.
Hey Webb
I am looking for a touchscreen to replace the 8” monitor. Where did you get your monitor? I see a listing for discount electronics but not sure about them. Let me know if you wouldn’t mind
Hey Dustin. I was online looking for that same monitor but the only place I could find is a place online called discount electronics. Could you share where you got your monitor?
I got it at Mercari.com. They don’t appear to have any at the moment. Good luck!
I dont have my cnc yet, should be here this week and wanted a larger screen than what 1F offers. So, since most of these monitors listed above are unavailable at the moment, what should I look for in a touchscreen’s connections to the controller?
Most have HDMI and some have USB-c and others have USB3 connections.
Hey Kevin,
I had an eye on ThinkCentre Tiny-In-One 24 Gen 4 Touch, but not confirmed
I have this one. Display is flawless. Touchscreen not working-yet
Has anyone have any additional troubleshooting ideas for this screen? I turn it on and then the OneFinity. Resolution is fine, just no touchscreen. I have tried all manner of switching inputs around. Anything in the software that might need toggling?
